MRS ROOSEVELT

VIEWS ON NEW ZEALAND NEW YORK, Sept. 22 Mrs Roosevelt told a press conference in Honolulu that she had made 17 island stops, exclusive of New Zealand and Australia, and covered 27.780 miles in 97 flying hours on her tour, says the Honolulu correspondent of the New York Times. Mrs Roosevelt thought that New Zealand and Autsralia were far ahead of America in post-war proposals. The war was changing the entire industrial life of New Zealand and Australia, and the effect would be felt after the war, when the cordial relationship between American* and New Zealanders and Australians would naturally result in post-war alliances in these countries, particularly in trade.
