Here is a message for all young men and women who have reacheo the age of 21 years since 1938. This year you will be privileged to vote fc.r the first time, at the General Election on September 25. You will have the opportunity of registering your vote for Liberty—the thing which the United Nations are fighting for. Do you realise the importance of making a sound decision on the Licensing Question? A ballot on that issue will be taken in conjunction with the General Election—this is required by the law. Consider these important facts: 1 All the world has rejected prohibition. New Zealand has done so cn every occasion, each time more emphatically than the last. 2. America gave prohibition a thorough trial, lasting 14 years and costing billions of dollars. Its repeal was carried by the biggest majority ever recorded on any question 3. New Zealand cannot afford to squander millions to provide additional proof of an acknowledged universal failure. For these reasons you will realise hew necessary it is for you to cast your vc te for Continuance. Strike out the two bottom lines on the Voting Paper. 341
