NOT A PLANE LOST
SUPERIORITY OF ALLIES LONDON, Sept. 6 Not a single Allied plane was lost during the landings in Italy, states the Cairo radio. Allied losses so far have been negligible. An intruder voice came on to Rome radio last night. Just after the heme service broadcast made its closing announcement a man's voice was heard speaking very quickly in Italian. He called on the Italians to surrender instead of fighting for Hitler and made a number of anti-German remarks. After a few seconds the voice was drowned.
