ACCIDENTS AT WEEKEND

FOOTBALLERS INJURED

Four accident cases were admitted to the Waikato Hospital during the week-end. A child aged four years, Rachel Hemopo, of Horotiu, received burns to the back and arms when a pot of boiling water overbalanced. A fractured leg was suffered by Shirley Ann Rogers, aged five, of Te Aroha, when she fell from a haystack.

Concussion was suffered by two footballers, Athol Patterson, aged 13, of Ohaupo, and Mr Norman Hodge, aged 25, of Hamilton, during play at Rugby Park. Patterson was playing for High School and Hodge for Technical Old Boys. Their condition is reported this morning as satisfactory.

Clothes for School A rationing order has been gazetted in Australia making it illegal for any educational establishment to require students to wear clothing of any specified type. This means that school uniforms are abolished for the duration of the war.
