The Diving Jacks and Jills give an impre = sive display of diving. “ Timber” is a thrilling story of the lumber Indus- i try, in an impressive natural setting and with action and red-blooded romance ; throughout. Andy Devine, Leo Carillo and ; Dan Dailey, junior, head the strong cast. CIVIC THEATRE “ Sundown” tells a very dramatic story, with a locale that is off the beaten track. It reveals the efforts of enemy agents to break Rritain’s hold on her strategic stronghold in Africa. Gene Tierney, George Sanders and Sir Cedric HarcVwlcke head the strong cast. The playing of waltz melodies for half-an-hour and the screening of entertaining and interesting “shorts” preceded the star feature. REGENT THEATRE “The War Agaist Mrs Hadley,” featuring Fay Rainter. Edward Arnold, Jean Rogers and Richard N'ey, tells how an American woman resented the war. Then her daughter lost her heart at a soldiers’ canteen, her son proved his bravery on a rar-awav hattlofront. and she realises her j mistaken attitude. interesting war news ; and entertaiing “shorts” are screened. j
