VICHY REPUDIATED
FRENCH IN NORTH AFRICA (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, March 9 The United States Under-Secretary of State, Mr Sumner Welles, expressed gratification at General Giraud’s action in repudiating all the Vichy decrees. He said this development was a clear-cut indication that the French in North Africa had returned to the policy of individual liberty which had made France great.
