QUOTATIONS AT MARKETS Heavy supplies or vegetables are being received at the markets and many lines are hard to quit. Potatoes are slow at Large quantities of tomatoes are coming to nand and choice lines are attracting good prices. Apricots are still in short supply and high values are being realised. Cucumbers are more plentiful. Following are quotations for vegetables and fruit:— Vegetables.—Cabbages, Is 6d to 4s 6d bag; beetroot, 2s to 2s 6d dozen; carrots, 20s to 27s bag; potatoes, 17s 6d cwt; cucumbers, 2s to 5s case; peas, 4s 6d to 6s bag; lettuce, Is 6d to 4s 6d case; marrows, Is to 2s dozen; onions, 18s 8d bag; pumpkin, 27s cwt; parsnips, 8s 6d bag; swedes, 3s 4d dozen. Fruit.—Gravenstein, 13s 6d; tomatoes, hothouse, 6d to 8d lb; outdoor, choice, 4d to 6d lb; bananas. 31s; lemons, 9s 6d to 19s 6d; peaches, 6s tray; apricots, 24s to 28s; nectarines, 7s to 12s; strawberries, 3s to 3s 3d.
