Born 61 years ago, Mr K Haynes joined the Railway Depart- . ment, serving for 40 years. He re- j tired seven years ago on superannua- K f tion. Mr Haynes was night foreman £ t at Frankton Junction in the cleaners’ c i department, after having graduate 1 r i from engine-driver. He was keenly a interested in first-aid and was prom- c inently identified with St. John r* Ambulance work, being supervisory ' f , ; officer at Frankton for some time. He < : left Hamilton a year ago to reside in G a Auckland. He is survived bv his , wife and a family of three. The two g j sons are serving overseas and the daughter resides in Auckland. MR TAI L COLLYER The death has occurred of Mr Paul , j Collyer, of Peacock's Road. Hamilton. J aged 70 years. Mr Collyer was born " in Victoria and lived at Ballarat until J about 25 years ago, when he came to B ' New Zealand and settled at Kopaki, r } King Country. He retired from <> 5 active farming operations nearly " three years ago and came to reside in [1 Hamilton. He is survived by his e wife, three daughters and one son. T r MR A. R. B y Mr Rutherford was the youngest son ■* of Mr and Mrs James Rutherford j and a brother of the famous scientist. [the late Lord Rutherford. After 5 ! receiving his education at Nelson 3 College. Mr Rutherford farmed with • his father in Taranaki and later took J. I up land on his own account at Orini. .1 ? About 30 years ago he purchased a G ? farm at Waihou and had resided in E 1 the district ever since.
