WEDDING

CLELAND—SPEEDY The wedding was solemnised in St. Peter’s Anglican Cathedral, Hamilton, recently, between Valmai, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs N. J. Speedy, Horsham Downs, and Sefton Harold, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. W. Cleland, Gordonton. The Rt. i Rev. C. A. Cherrington, Bishop ot Waikato, was the officiating minister, and Mr S. B. Sims presided at the organ. 'j he bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a gown of ivory satin with a tulle veil caught to the head with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a bouquet ; of white chrysanthemums and begonias. She was attended by her sister, Miss Leila Speedy and her cousin, Miss Ngaire Speedy, as bridesmaids, wearing frocks of peach pink taffeta with toning shoulder length veils which were held in place by top-, knots of delphiniums. Bouquets of pink carnations and dahlias were carried. Mr Dudley Cleland and Mr Burt Cleland, brothers of the bridegroom, were the best man and groomsman respectively. Mrs Speedy was wearing a navy and white suit with a matching hat and a shoulder spray of autumnshaded flowers, and Mrs Cleland was wearing a wine suit with a matching hat and shoulder spray of toning flowers. The bride travelled wearing an Air Force blue costume with navy accessories. Mr and Mrs S. H. Cleland will make their home at Gordonton.
