MOST CASES UNDEFENDED Only two of the divorce cases listed for hearing in the Supreme Court, Hamilton, today before Mr Justice Johnston, were defended. John Howard Sorenson, of Otorohanga (Mr J. F. Strang) sought dissolution of his marriage with Alexa Edna Rita Sorenson (Mr W. J. King), but he asked leave to withdraw the petition and allow the counter petition to be proceeded with. This request was granted. Evidence was given of the marriage at Waikino in 1933. the birth of a child the following year, the husband's absence in Sydney for six months, and the issue of a separation order in 1937. A decree nisi was granted, the wife to have custody of the child. The other case listed as defended was that of Sydney Francis Strange, hairdresser, Cambridge (Mr R. W.
