ALLEGED THEFT
ROAD BOARD ACCOUNTANT £2OOO SAID TO BE INVOLVED (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Saturday An accountant, George Lampton Gladding, aged 63, was charged in the Police Court that being employed by the Ostend Road Board he stole £24. On the application of the police he was remanded to February 19. The police did not opose bail, and said the amount involved exceeded £2OOO. Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., allowed bail with a surety of £2OO.
