It. was one of a large convoy of enemy supply ships to be attacked from the air. states the Air Ministry. Another ship, also a large one, was hit by bombs from a Hudson patrolling oft Western Norway and also was left afire. The first ship, which was the biggest of the convoy, was strongly defended by anti-aircraft, fire. The pilot of a Hudson which ardecided there was no need to waste bombs on what was already a lost which was ranging alongside the burning wrec, and h:> it with at least, one bomb. Beauforts attacked from only 20 feet with delayed-action bombs. HONGKONG FIGHTING PENFTRATION BY JAPANESE LONDON, Dec. 10 The Hongkong correspondent of the American Press says that some Japanese penetration of Hongkong’s defence is admitted in a communique. The fighting continues. JAPANESE LOSSES TRANSPORTS AND PLANES LONDON. Dec. 10 The Tokio radio admitted the loss of two Japanese transports and 13 army planes. SEIZED IN AMERICA GERMANS AND ITALIANS WASHINGTON, Dec. 10 it is announced that 2303 Germans, Italians and Japanese were seized by the Federal Bureau of investigation. Thailand’s funds in the United States, approximately 20,000,000 dollars, have been * frozen."
