ROAD SERVICES BRANCH (By Teiegri/pn.—Pre3S Association) WELLINGTON, Tuesday A special meeting of the road service branch of the A.S.R.S. held at midnight accorded unanimous support to the claim for 6d an hour allround increase, with preference to lower paid workers. The meeting considered that the national executive should meet immediately to make representations to the Government. The national executive is to be asked to request immediately that the Government pay all members employed in the road services double time for Sunday work, as paid to other sections of the railway service. Delegates to the Railway Unity Committee were instructed to press for an early mass meeting of all railway workers in Wellington in support of the 6d_an hour claim.
