BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS A special afternoon was held at the Morrinsville Croquet Club on j Saturday to celebrate the birthday j of Mrs P. S. Phillpot, the oldest I playing member. During afternoon J lea the president, Mrs Doorly, wished Mrs Phillpot many happy returns ' and presented her with a beautiful j bouquet of roses. After drinking her i healtn, Mrs Phillpot was accorded ! musical honours. Mrs Phillpot responded. Congratulatory speeches were made by Mrs McLeod, past j president, Mrs G. Howie, life member, Mrs T. Martin, immediate past j president, Mrs W. Butler, founda- | lion member, Mrs W. Hogg. Mrs W. Reid and Mrs G. Howie. Among those present were:—Mesdames P. S. Pnillpot, G. Howie (life j member), D. C.
