VICHY STATEMENT CHARGE AGAINST BRITAIN LONDON, July 29 T!io Vichy Government has issued a statement informing the public of th 9 scope of the consequences of the French-Japanese agreement on IndoChna, says the Times correspondent on the French frontier. TAXI DRIVER ATTACKED AUCKLAND, Wednesday About 9.30 last night a taxi driver. Jack Stewart Young, aged 40, was attacked by an unknown man travelling as a passenger i i the rear seat of his taxi, in Hackett Street, Ponsonby, and was struck three blows on the head from behind.
