PRIVATE ARTHUR FINCH Cabled advice has been received by Mr C. E. Finch, of Tuakau, that his son, Private Arthur Claude Finch, of the 2nd N.Z.E.F., has been killed in action. Private Finch, who received his secondary education at the Pukekohe Technical High School, later studied agriculture at Massey Agricultural College. At the time of his enlistment Private Finch was employed at Ngongotaha, being among the first volunteers for overseas service at the outbreak of war. Mr S. G. Finch, of Hamilton, is a brother. SIGNALMAN KILLED Signalman Ronald Mervyn Bradley, New Zealand Corps of Signals, has been killed in action, according to advice received by his wife, Mrs R. M. Bradley, Mount Eden. Signalman Bradley, who was aged about 32, was formerly a telegraphist at Kaikohe. He left New Zealand with the first echelon. PILOT FROM NAPIER (By Telegraph.—Press Association) NAPIER, Sunday The death on active service is advised of Sergeant-Pilot Basil Walker, son of Mrs K. Walker, of Napier. Born at Christchurch in 1919. Ser-geant-Pilot Walker was educated at the Napier Boys’ High School. He began his training before the war with the Hawke’s Bay Aero Club. He left New Zealand in October, 1940, and was posted to a squadron in Scotland. He was transferred recently to Egypt.
