STRUCK BY CAR
INJURIES TO SOLDIER REPORTED FAILURE TO' STOP Struck by a car which was travelling in a northerly direction between five and six o’clock last evening, Private John Brighouse, aged 39, of the Hopu Hopu military camp, received a compound fracture of both bones of one leg. It is understood that the soldier was standing at the edge of the road outside the camp when he was knocked down and that the driver of the car failed to stop. The injured soldier was admitted to the Waikato Hospital, where his condition jtoday is satisfactorily.
