PETER PAN’S LETTER

J)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, g Haven’t these last few mornings been chilly ? Peter and the Twins are growing so very lazy for they hate leaving g their golden and flame fires at night and dislike getting up out of g their warm beds even more the next morning. The Sunshine Girl it says she likes the cool weather because the wind is so bracing and § the Wendy Person is always telling Peter that a good brisk walk tZ soon warms you up, but still Peter is afraid that he doesn’t like g getting up. The Twins are two very excited little people, for the other g day Uncle Andy bought them four of the dearest little guinea-pigs L you could ever imagine. One was white with a tiny black eye so § Jenne has called him Patrick, ’cause she said she has an Irish g friend who always has a black eye from fighting too much and g Tony has called his “Patch” because he is covered with tiny brown g and white patches—but the Circle People have lots of ideas for g the naming of the other two. Smutty and Someone are not very g sure that they like the new pets and they spend long hours sitting U and watching these tiny scraps of brown, white and black fur, with g very puzzled looks. H The Circle People had a visit from Scamp the other day, g but Peter is afraid that he is still as mischievous as ever, for the g moment he saw the Wendy Person’s slippers off he scampered with & them to bury thenf amongst the Sunshine Girl’s bed of stocks. S Tomorrow, little people, is Mothers’ Day, and Peter hopes ** that you will all remember to help the “Loveliest Lady of the Land” g more than ever and remember too that the very nicest of gifts you g can ever give your Mother is a sunny smile and a willing, helping g hand. 8 And now' lots of love to you all with hopes for lots of white 8 flowers for your Mothers’ Day gift. g From your very own g fU Q 1
