BLANKET CLUB
The first afternoon of the Blanket Club was held at Mrs C. W. Ricket’s residence, Te Awamutu, on Monday afternoon. Contract and auction bridge were played and a savoury afternoon tea was served by several hostesses. Mrs Ricket, assisted by Mrs H. C. Rainey, received the guests. Among those present were:—Mesdames C. W. Rickit, H. C. Rainey, C. G. Downes, Brooks, M. Montefiore, Allan Bond, Hutchinson, Jourdain, Dowds, M. Dawson, W. J. North, W. G. Smith, Leonard Dunn, Bluck, Allan Kay (Orakau), Bonifant, W. Jeffery, M. Friedlander, J. Law, W. McArthur, Stonex (Auckland), Way (Rotorua), and Miss Joan Hagen (Malaya).
