INQUIRY PROCEEDS INFORMATION LEAKAGES SITTING IN AUCKLAND (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Friday The Commission inquiring into certain shipping losses and the alleged leakage of information from l i ew ... Z^ aland ’ ex Pects to conclude its Wellington sittings early next week. A great volume of evidence has been taken in Wellington, not merely from survivors from captured ships, but also from persons who appeared able to throw light on a possible leakage and useful precautions against further leakages. The witnesses included a number from outside Wellington. The Commission proposes to commence its Auckalnd sitting on Wednesday next. It will sit for possibly two or three days in order to hear witnesses, for whom it was inconvenient to visit Wellington. The Commission does not anticipate that it will be necessary to sit elsewhere than Wellington and Auckland. The Auckland sittings will also be in camera. The venue has not yet been decided but further information thereon can be obtained by application io the Police Department at Auckland.
