RRITAIN AND BULGARIA POSSIBLE ACTION EXPLAINED SOFIA. Feb. 28 Mr George Rendel, British Ambassador to Bulgaria, addressing AngloAmerican journalists said: “The time for England to break off relations with Bulgaria is very near.” If relations were broken off, Britain would declare war before committing hostile acts such as bombing communication lines and troop concentrations. Germans in Bulgaria were no longer ciassaYle as technicians. They were the forerunners of occupation. The German Legation in Sofia has circulated the German News Agency's announcement that Germany has no intention attacking Bulgaria—which mails from Sofia say is clearly aimed at counteracting the public's rising resentment against Germany which is apparently countrywide. During the 4S hours the German campaign to whip up anti-British fooling continues. A story is circulated to the effect that 64 Britons were arrested for a plot to overthrow the Government. Actually, thorp has been no plot and there have been no arreste. There are only 42 Britons in Bulgaria, 40 of whom am at the British Legation.
