BRANCH FORMED
WAR SERVICES AUXILIARY A meeting to form a branch of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary was held in the Orange Hall, Ngaruawahia recently. The speaker was Mrs J. W. Chapman, president of the central committee, who gave a very interesting address, and pointed out the part women could take in the army and air force. The borough council placed a shop in the Town Hall at the disposal of the committee. Nominations for a committee resulted in the following being elected: Mesdames K. Anderson (chairman), K. Duxfield, J. Patterson, L. Abbott, A. G. Weld, Knighton, Sampson, Steele, W. Matangi, A. Sutherland, and Misses D. Tuck and A. ’Paterson.
