DRIVES OVER 20 MILES «Jy Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday Because he drove a friend’s car to Tauherenikau for the races on New Year’s day, Otto Kaushaw, aged 33, who was stated to be a German, was to-day fined £5 on a charge of travelling more than 20 miles from the registered place of his abode without permission and for having control of a car as an enemy alien without permission when he appeared in the Petone Police Court. He was convictqd and ordered to pay the costs.
