PATRIOTIC COMMITTEE (Special to Time*) MATAMATA. Tuesday. \ recent meeting- ol‘ the Waharoa-Ward-ville-Gordon Patriotic Sub-committee was presided over by Mr B. Scherer. The means of raising the district’s share or the £1.000.000 fund were discussed. It was decided that the best way of raiding the money was by personal canvass, and canvassers were appointed to cover every road in the district. Many employees or the butter ractory have agreed to give a percentage or their wages each week until the fund closes in September.
