COLT WAR EFFORT
£llsO RAISED IN RAFFLE (By Telegraph.—Tress Association) WELLINGTON, Wednesday A progress report dealing .with the art union for the disposal of the thoroughbred yearling colt War Effort, by Siegfried—Kippet Lee. in aid of patriotic funds shows to date that tickets to the approximate value of £llsO have been sold. The colt was presented to the National Patriotic Fund Board by Mr R. A. Smith, of Waipawa, and named War Effort by Lord Galway, chairman of the board.
