HAPPY PICNIC
RAILWAY SHUNTERS CHILDREN ENTERTAINED The Frankton Railway Shunters’ Council Christmas toy presentation and. annual picnic was held at Steele’s farm, Te Pahu, which proved an ideal picnic ground. A large number of shunters, honorary members, visitors and their families filled to capacity the bus accommodation provided. During the day Santa Claus ar- i rived and every child on the ground j i received a Christmas toy. At the presentation of trophies and prizes, opportunity was taken to make a presentation to Mrs Steele as a mark I of appreciation of the esteem in which Mr and Mrs A.
