MAHATMA GANDHI’S PLAN UNREST IN INDIA OPPOSITION OF HINDUS (Received Oct. 14, 3.15 p.m.) DELHI, Oct. 13 The split between Congress and Hindu opinion widened today, when, after the Congress Working Committee had approved of Mahatma Gandhi’s plan for individual civil disobedience, the All-India Hindu : League passed a resolution criticising ! the Congress attitude, adding that j the whole future of the political I emancipation of the Indian people j depended c*n the success of Britain. | Mahatma Gandhi is informing the Marquess of Linlithgow of the date, time and place where the first passive resister. Vonodbhave. is opening his campaign. It is understood that Gandhi proposes, rn the first instance, that only 1 two persons should court arrest. The : other will probably be Nehru.
