PLUNKET SOCIETY The monthly meeting of the Hamilton branch of the Plunket Society was held on October 4, the president, Mrs N. E. Blomfield, presiding. The following nurses reports were read and received:—Hamilton: Visits to rooms, adults, 666, babies 637, children 60, total 1322. Visits to homes 60. Frankton: Visits to rooms, adults 187. babies 193, children 15; Raglan: Adults 12, babies 13; Te Mata: Adults 9. babies 9, total 438. Visits to homes 93. Dr. Helen Deem, medical adviser to the Plunket Society, and Miss Fitzgibbons. nursing adviser, paid their annual visit to the rooms at the end of September. Dr. Deem carried out a height-weight survey on babies under 12 months, and she gave one morning entirely to the inspection of premature babies.
