SUMMER Sunlight and shadows And the song of the breeze, Moonlight and starlight And the wind in the trees. Bird songs at even, With air, fragrant and sweet Echoing music Down a dim, rain-washed street. Flowers a-blooming And a bracing, clear air, Laughter and happiness And warmth everywhere.
