REO SEA ROUTE SIMLA, Sept. 13 The extent of British Command or the Red Sea is revealed in official figures which show that since the outbreak of war 71 troopships and supply ships from Indian ports had used the Red Sea route to the middle-east without loss. Since the Italian occupation of British Somaliland two large contingents have passed unmolested along the Red Sea route. Vessels from British, Australian and South African ports are continually using the routo in both directions. HIGHER SALARIES PUBLIC SERVICE WELLINGTON, Saturday An official announcement about salary increases in the civil service and allied o"ganisations such as the Railways, Post and Telegraph, Public Woiks and Education is expected to be made by the Government on Monday. Cabinet's decision following considera*ion at a Government caucus this week was communicated to representatives of the services concerned by the Minister of Finance, the Hon. W. Nasn, today.
