Copyright) (Received Sept. 14, 3.15 p.m.) CHICAGO, Sept. 13 Mr Wendel Wilkie, Republican candidate for the Presidency, in beginning a nation-wide campaign, reiterated his promise to keep America out of the war. “If you elect me I’ll never send an American boy to fight overseas,” he said. “I want to make America free and so strong that no dictator would ever strike here.”
