TITLE RETAINED MRS GLANVILLE’S WIN AUCKLAND PROVINCIAL FINAL (By Telegraph.—Special to Times! AUCKLAND, Friday Although her own excellent driving was eclipsed, Mrs P. R. Glanville, of Te Awamutu, came to light with excellent iron shots and chipping to retain her title in the Auckland provincial women’s golf championship at Auckland yesterday. She defeated Mrs K. Dyke, of Nelson, who was generally outplayed with shots to the greens. Mrs Glanville was in the lead from the 11th, settling the issue by holing a putt of 25 feet at the 17th to win 2 and 1.
