MORRINSVILLE FUNCTION
RED CROSS BRIDGE PARTY Mrs T. Brodie and Miss P. Porter, assisted by members of the St. John nursing division, organised a most successful bridge party, which was held in the Parish Hall last evening. The hall was beautifully decorated with bowls of spring flowers and a log fire created a cheery atmosphere. The hostess for the evening was Mrs Morgan Davies, instructress for the division. The prize-winners for bridge were Mrs G. Birnie, Mr N. Anderson, and Mrs Holland. The winners at the five hundred tables were Mrs E. G. Clarke and Mr Woolford. Mrs M. Davies thanked members for their attendance and donations and explained fully the object of the nursing division. A delicious supper was provided by the members of the division. The Red Cross fund will benefit very considerably from this splendid effort.
