BOMBS ON EIRE

SEVERAL PEOPLE INJURED MANY HOUSES DAMAGED ACCIDENT TO TROOPS (United Pre-ss Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyrlg-ht) DUBLIN, August 26 At least 10 bombs were dropped in Wexford by the German bomber. Many houses were damaged and numbers of people were injured by glass and splinters. Spectators thought the aeroplane was about to make a forced landing when a bomb suddenly fell. The manager of the creamery said some members of the staff watched the aeroplane, which appeared to be foreign. One of the girls who was killed was found sitting at a table with a knife and fork in her hands. Four bombs fell, and one which failed to explode bore German markings. Another smashed the pipeline to the creamery, a third damaged a railway siding, and the fourth fell near a hotel.

A lorry taking troops to the scene this morning overturned, and nine men were taken to hospital. One of them subsequently died, and three others are in a serious condition.
