FUND REACHES £1277
’PLANE FOR BRITAIN DONATIONS IN HAMILTON RECEIPTS RISE STEADILY With almost £IOO to hand since yesterday afternoon the fighter fund opened by the Mayor of Hamilton, Mr H. D. Caro, has now reached £1277 16s 9d. The need for promptness in raising the fund has been stressed by the Mayor and the fund has risen steadily during the week it has been open. Donations are being received by the Town Clerk and at the Waikato Times Office. The following donations are acknowledged:—
WOMEN’S FIGHTER FUND The New Zealand women’s fighter fund in Hamilton now stands at £47 12s, the latest donations being as follows:
GOAL NEARLY REACHED
DAIRY SUPPLIERS’ RESPONSE Subscriptions from suppliers of the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, to raise sufficient funds to purchase a fighter aeroplane, are still coming in readily and it is anticipated by officials of the company that sufficient money will be in hand by the end of this week to make the donation to Britain.
