PRESBYTERIAN FINANCES tC' (By Telegraph.—special to Times) AUCKLAND, Tuesday Home and foreign mission funds of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, which a year ago caused grave concern, are on a more satisfactory footing as the result of a Dominion-wide campaign. The final result of the campaign was reported to the mission committee in Auck-

land yesterday by the church treasurer. The .figures showed that for an actual expenditure on all budget funds of £45,634 the receipts had been £54,279, showing a surplus of £8645. For mission purposes only the expenditure was £42,616, the receipts £50,794 and the surplus £BI7B. The debt of £16,112 with which the financial year commenced has been reduced to £7952. The amount asked from congregations was £41,276, and the response was £45,684, which is £14,388 more than congregations contributed in the previous financial year. Out of 21 Presbyteries 13 had exceeded the amounts allotted to them.

Arrangements made by the Director of Missions, the Rev. D. N. MacDiarmid, for the observance of Sunday, September 15, as a day of thanksgiving throughout the church for the success of the appeal were approved.
