FREE FRENCHMEN
INSPECTION BY KING GROWING AIR FORCE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, August 24 His Majesty the King to-day inspected French troops belonging to the army of Free Frenchmen led by General de Gaulle. These forces, which have been steadily augmented, enjoy the support of influential French circles in the United States and Latin America, as well as elsewhere. They include a small but growing air force, which has already taken active part alongside the Royal Air Force in raids over Germany. General de Gaulle has been joined in London by Colonel Larminat, who was chief of the general staff of the French Army in the Middle East, and
who has reported on the requirements of the French troops who left Syria for Egypt, where they form a combatant unit.
