Copyright) (Received August 24, 3.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 23 The Royal Air Force’s blitzkrieg against the Axis Powers, the failure of Germany’s massed air attacks and Mr Winston Churchill’s stirring speech, have given the stock markets fresh life. The turnover has remained small, but the tendency generally is upward. Funds have made a good showing under the leadership of the old war loan, which reached the highest level since the eve of the invasion. The Low Countries’ industrials are strong.
