BALLOON BREAKS AWAY OVER NORTH LONDON (Official Wireless) (Received August 24, 11 a.m.) RUGBY, August 23 Breaking loose over North London, a barrage balloon, with its fins in shreds and the cable snapping like a whip, soared up and down for three hours before the cable twisted round the pinnacle of Saint Mark’s Church at Finsbury. The pinnacle crashed to the greund and the balloon finally broke away and quickly disappeared from sight.
