KELLY—-GARMONSWAY The wedding took place on the afternoon of Saturday, August 10, in St. David’s Presbyterian Church, Otorohanga, when Mavis Kathleen, second daughter of Mr and Mrs T. A. Garmonsway, of Otorohanga, was married to Walter George, eldest &3n of Mr and Mrs T. H. Kelly, of Cambridge. The Rev. S. W. Webber was the officiating minister. The bride, who entered the church with her uncle, Mr Allan Bell, wore a graceful gown of pearl-shaded satin, cut on slim-fitting lines, with an inset panel of lace falling from the shoulders to form a train. BRUCE-WHITE A quiet wedding was solemnised on Wednesday morning, August 21, at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church, Claudelands, when Miss Linley Naiari White, second daughter of Mr P. P. White, of Bridge Street, Hamilton, and the late Mrs White, was married to Mr Lionel Robert St. Pierre Bruce, of Hamilton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. G. A. Crossman. The bride, who was given away by her father, was wearing a chartreuse jersey sheer ensemble with a matching halo hat of punched felt, and a shoulder spray of gold freesias. The bridesmaid, Miss Lorna White, sister of the bride, was in an ensemble of old gold jersey sheer with which was worn a shoulder spray of primroses.

Mr E. H. Tyler acted as best man. The wedding breakfast was held at the home of the bride, where the guests were received by Mr P. P. White and by Mrs E. Cumming, of Remuera, aunt of the bride, who was wearing a grey tailored suit with a pink cyclamen shoulder spray. When Mr and Mrs L. R. Bruce left by car for their honeymoon, the bride travelled in a rust angora ensemble with a matching hat, dark brown accessories and a fox fur.
