PETER PAN’S LETTER

J)EAR GIRLS AND BOYS, Oh dear, hasn’t the Weather Man been in a frowning mood these last few days ? The Sunshine Girl feels quite sure he is feeling cross because all the little people have holidays and he hasn’t. Such jolly times everyone aboard the Holiday Ship seems to be having too and everywhere the Circle People go they find little people, all very busy making the most of their holiday weeks. There were little people scampering down hills behind runaway trollies or having such exciting times trying to steer them straight, little folk climbing over fences in search of lost footballs and basketballs, little people peeping from between branches of trees when the soft green buds are just bursting or searching for fresh garden secrets. There were little ones busy with garden forks and hoes, grubbing weeds from garden borders or plucking starry white pinktipped daisies to make chains for their dollies necklaces, and everywhere could be seen little people having such jolly happy times that Peter wished he could leave the office and go for a trip on the Holiday Ship too. And how gay the gardens are at present, with their soft white petals on the plum trees and palest pink blossoms on the peaches. Peter has some lovely golden and brown lachanalias in bloom and very pretty they look amongst their shining green leaves too. And now, lots of love to you all, with hopes of Spring smiles from the Weather Man and jolly days aboard the Holiday Ship. From yours, Searching-for-adventure,
