Bevenoy scored his Initial success when he finished on to wear down British lass and beat her decisively, only four of the nine starters completed the course. Cockaliiruni was the first to go, railing at tb* second fence, Etcetera and Leighton Buzzard crashed at the fir<t fence on top or the hill and Silver Wattle and Domination came to grief at the second fence on top of the hill the last time. British Lass led early from Etcetera, Searcher and Beverley. Midland made a bold attempt to win the hack and hunters’ hurdle race but, arter looking to have the race won hairway down the running, he failed to withstand the finishing run or Bright Idea who outstayed the field to win attractively. The Trimmer was always one of the leading division while Little Ruse, too, bad every chance. Red Appellant lost ground at the start and The Trimmer was the first to become prominent from Midland, Beeswing, Vaalso, Little Ruse and Bright Idea. Tutor Tell at the first fence and Red Appellant came down in front of the stands. Here Midland was in charge from The Trimmer, Little Ruse, Vaalso, Valspear, Bright Idea and Beeswing. There was no alteration I along the back, Midland being clear at the ! hair-mile from The Trimmer, vaalso. Little Base and Bright Idea. Bright Idea made a forward move approaching the turn and lie followed Midland Into the straight, with The Trimmer, Little Ruse, and Vaalso tile handiest or the others.
