CONTESTS IN CONTRACT (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WELLINGTON, Thursday Sixtv-two pairs competed for the New Zealand contract bridge pairs championship tournament played over four sessions and 84 hands. The first six were Dr. F. C. Hutchison and Mr F. J. Jacobs, Wanganui, 1; Mr E. C. Bell and Mr A N. Lamb, Auckland. 2; Dr. Bruce Mackenzie and Mr N. Mitchell, Auckland, 3: Mr and Mr* H. H. Young, Wellington, 4; Mrs Black and Mr G. B. P. Wilson, Dunedin, 5; Mr L. Stohr and Mr W. B, Rainey, Wellington, 6. The previou. , holders were Mr and Mrs Young.
