Copyright) LONDON, Aug. 22 Many high commanders of the French Army who took part in the fighting against the Germans have been placed on the retired list. This step has been taken in conformity with the armistice terms. The commanders include General Blanchard and General Prioux, hero of the retreat to Dunkirk.
