WOMEN’S CLUB
BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL “Experiences Abroad” was the subject oi a very interesting talk given by Ivliss Jamieson to th*_ memcers of the Y.W.C.A. Business and Professional Women’s Club a r their club dinner on Monday. As New Zealand delegate to several conferences, one being the Jubilee Conference of the International Council of Women at Edinburgh and another a women’s conference in Paris, M:ss Jamieson had met many women of international lame and seen places not usually accessible to visitors. By her vivid descriptions of these, choosing unerringly details of interest to her hearers, she imparted to a highly appreciative audience, her own delight in them.
Miss Scobie, in thanking the speaker, remarked how interesting it was to the club members to hear such things described from a woman’s standpoint. Present at the dinner were:— Misses Hewison, Williamson, Shepherd, Scobie, Richmond, Branscombe, Mitchell, Girvin, Crowther, Takle, Mac Lean, L. Barlow, J. Barlow, Robinson, Phillips, Philpott, Hoskins, Norrish, Elliott, Crook, Bartrum.
