He recalled that Mr Fairbairn was sworn in at Ottawa. WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 Mr R. Casey, Australian Minister, referring to the air crash, said: “ This is a great disaster for Australia and for me personally. These men were all my lifelong friends. Their leadership, knowledge and experience will be very hard to replace. They will be mourned as men and servants of Australia.”
