NAZI CLAIMS DISPROVED WHAT JOURNALISTS SAW DOCKS TEEM WITH LIFE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) LONDON, August 12 Because since June 20 the German wireless has claimed that numerous raids of Bristol have been inflicting heavy damage on docks, an aircraft factory, oil storage plants and the railway station, a party of journalists was permitted yesterday to make an exhaustive examination of the scenes of these claims. As the result, they are able to say the damage was very slight except to»a railway signal-box. some railway trucks, a school yard and several houses. The Avonmouth docks are teeming with life- Port officials stated that Bristol is at present handling more tonnage than the average. Bristol last night had a raid in which 10 bombs were dropped. Some houses were damaged.
