LIFE OF PARLIAMENT OPPOSITION TO EXTENSION ELECTION IN OCTOBER (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. copyrlgnt) CANBERRA, Aug. 6 Pre-sessional meetings of all the political parties held in Canberra today opposed the suggestion to extend the life of the Federal Parliament. According to the Sun correspondent, the Government will make no attempt to seek the British Government’s sanction to that course. It is understood that the General Election will be held in October, in the absence of a national emergency. The Federal Labour Party rejected the offer by the Prime Minister, Mr Menzies, to include Labour representatives in the Cabinet.
