ANGLO-JAPANESE ISSUES SEEKING A SOLUTION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 7, 3.15 p.m.) TOKIO, Aug. 6 The Nichi Nichi said the Cabinet has decided against a settlement of the alleged British retaliatory arrests as “ individual unimportant cases, but would seek a fundamental solution of the “ entire situation which had caused the cases,” as well as push for a solution of the basic Anglo-Japanese issues. LONDON, Aug. 6 The Japanese spokesman said: “We believe that there is every indication that the relationships between Japan and Britain will continue to improve. We are confident that what little incidents and misunderstandings there have been can bf settled quickly to the mutual satisfaction of Britain and Japan. MORE ARRESTS THREE JAPANESE DETAINED (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 7, 11 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 6 No further arrests of Japanese have taken place in London, where Mr Tanabe is still detained. Information reached London yesterday that three Japanese in Rangoon, one in Singapore and one in Hongkong have been taken into custody.
