GREAT WAR EFFORT ASSISTANCE FOR BRITAIN INCREASE IN CONTRIBUTION (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received August 7. 3.i5 p.m.) LONDON, August 6 A supplementary War Budget was presented in the Ulster House of Commons today, which increased the contribution to the Imperial Exchequer towards the war expenditure by £1,500,000 to £6,000,000. Mr J. Andrews, Minister of Finance, stated that the Ulster people have taken up defence bonds amounting to £1,150,000 and Ulster savings certificates amounting to £1,591,000, and in the case of the latter as from April 1 last 90 instead of 75 per cent would be given to the British Exchequer.
